I did not tell you now but chefchaouen in the medina area, is not just blue, it is filled with feral cats. Probably to keep rodents aways. Everyone takes care of them. But you do not dare pet them for germs and fleas...I know I have a picture of Donna holding one in the restaurant. It kept on coming to us for food. But she went and washed her hads after holding it. The whole are was a maze of back alleys. It was so fun to follow and try to remember which ones to takes back home.

Yes it is as old as Job and full of character. We did take 4 hours of our day to visit a hammam in the center of Chefchaouen. It was a delight. We first had a warmed pool to ourselves (Donna, Jim and I) for an hour then we were bubbled up with the Moroccan black soap which exfoliates you. Then a rest on the warmed ceramic benche to swear it out. FInally the attendant scrub us from head to toe (only Donna and I did that part, Jim went for a massage) when all that was done and we were more than clean, we were sent one for massage and one for a facial. The esthetician was also an energy healer. We got spoiled there. Than we exchanged places. The massage was good but the facial was out of this world. All this for 120 euros each ($180 cnd) not cheap but much cheaper than what we get at home! We were given a thong of some king of a feminine napkin to wear for the whole event. Sorry no pictures of that part lol

Here are more pictures of Chefchaouen.

f you ever have a chance to visit, the people are so nice. They have no expectation of you.

And I could go on and on...It is spectacular!
