Paint and sip like no others

There is a neat little restaurant called the Vinea a couple of blocks from my place. We go there for a flamenco show on Thursday night. The food is also very good. Last night I took a paint and sip class. It was not what we are used to at home. It was from an artist/art therapist by the name of Dalia Yassin. The class was in english. We did ice breaker exercises first. It was probably my chance to do a little bit of abstract work.

But no, just fooling around with painting a background the leaves were created. SO I painted dragonflies in front of it. NOt abstract at all lol. It was just for fun, to give me something to do that was all supplied to me (I didn't have to bring it from Canada).

We were painting in a little room annexed to the restaurant were they have an exhibition most of the year. The work you see right now is from an artist named Rozalina Goudot. Jim and I love her style. We actually made friends with her. She is also a waitress at that restaurant. Here is the rest of the class pictures:

This Dalia! Good job girl. Jim came to pick me up but there was a saxophonist doing a great performance so we chose to stick around eat some food and enjoy the ambiance.

We came home delighted to say the least! We will be going back for sure.

The following painting is the the one I have acquired from Rozalina last year.

We also have a small painting of flamenco red shoes from her acquired two years ago at the Taberna de Flamenco. We love her style.

Last week we also went to Mijas again with Gerry, Michelle, Melissa and Guy. We enjoyed our visit immensely again. The scenery, on a clear day, is spectacular.

I hope you have enjoyed this blog...Hasta la proxima amigos!!
